Holy bleep, the world around us has gone crazy!
What happened to being able to complain about silly annoyances like the long line in Starbucks or having to drag your bum out of bed on Monday morning to get ready for -- ugh-- work?
What happened to being able to board airplanes, spend time with friends, attend social gatherings like birthday parties, get your hair cut, enjoy a meal out, or ship the kids off to school?
We have entered a sort of twilight zone with the rash of coronavirus quarantines, shutdowns, and shelter-in-place orders that have splotched the country and the world.
My own kids were supposed to board a plane to Paris yesterday for Spring Break with their father, but that didn't happen (much to my relief given the virus).
Instead, my daughter and I limped across the finish line of her online schooling yesterday like two battle-torn comrades who had forgotten at times they were fighting on the same side of the war.
How has your life changed in the past 7 days?
What stresses are you facing?
What worries are you wrestling?
Where are you finding hope?
I hope and pray you and your family are safe and well, with all the resources you need.
I hope your bathroom shelves are lined with ample back-ups of toilet paper and that if they aren't, you have come up with a Plan B that has you feeling innovative and resourceful.
That is what Saturn in Aquarius is all about after all. Innovation.
That's right: our great disciplinarian planet, Saturn, has just moved into the sign of Aquarius TODAY after about two and a half years in the sign of Capricorn!!!!
This is huge.
Given that we are already at the dawn of the Age of Aquarius (a 2000-year cycle), this planetary shift into the sign of Aquarius is ship-shaping us into the form required of us as Aquarian leaders in our new world.
We are being forced to prioritize, pare down, let go, get clear, and pull together.
Saturn will hang out in Aquarius for the next three months, before retrograding back into Capricorn where it will stay for the rest of 2020 until Dec. 27 when it finally goes back into Aquarius for ~2 years to thrust us full swing into the Aquarian Age.
What's the bottom line for those of us who do not have time to study the meaning of astrology as I do?
Saturn in Aquarius for the next three months (and then in 2021) is inviting us to:
shed outdated structures and frameworks that no longer serve us
look within to remember our unique gifts
rearrange our lives so we are more able contribute these gifts to others
balance our own needs against those of the community
cherish time with friends, even if it must be virtual
discover and join groups and organizations that we believe in
solve present challenges through innovation
learn more about astrology, which is ruled by Aquarius, so we are able to connect to the divine universe and our own souls
Whether you are recovering this weekend after a week of playing teacher, trying to conduct 40+ hours of work from home, or battening down the hatches and preparing to shelter in place for the next several weeks, you are experiencing your own version of Saturn in Aquarius (among other astrological events like Mars meeting up with Jupiter in Capricorn).
It isn't easy, that is for sure!
The next 6-8 weeks are going to be hard as we watch the coronavirus numbers rise, some of us in the world get sick, and a precious few of us lose loved ones.
There is no doubt of that.
What I want you to remember is that you will be okay. You always are, aren't you?
No matter how bad of a time you've ever been through--think about it--you ultimately land on your feet. So does our country.
You've got this.
We've got this.
All of my love and happy spring!
