Oh my! Can you feel it? The energies in the heavens are intense this week.
You certainly don't need an astrologer to tell you that, given what you've been seeing on the news, hearing from your community, and most likely feeling in your body each day.
I find myself quite exhausted by the energy that's buzzing around us right now.
How are you???
As always, first and foremost, I am sending you light and love.
I am sending you all good wishes for health, peace, and calm.
And I want to bless this day, this week, and this time with permission for all of us to take things more slowly, with patience and compassion for ourselves and others.
I loved reading a headline today from the New York Times that read,
"Stop Trying to Be Productive: The internet wants you to believe you aren't doing enough with all that "extra time" you have now. But staying inside and attending to basic needs is plenty."
Get what must be done, done, and then rest.
Think of yourself--and our whole society--as caterpillars in their cocoons, preparing to emerge as butterflies. The time will come to fly, but we are not there yet.
For now, we must transform, all cozied up in our cocoons, separated from the other butterflies.
But let's face it, sometimes it's more gunky then cozy in our cocoons.
That is because transformation can be a messy process.
2020 is a year of major transformation.
And today is marked by an astrological event that intensifies our awareness of that transformation (and we will feel this energy for the rest of the month.)
Jupiter--the planet of expansion--is conjuncting or magnifying Pluto--the planet of death and rebirth--in the sign of Capricorn, which represents self-discipline, contraction, and traditional structures.
This means that the areas of our lives and our world that are outdated are starting to stick out like a sore thumb that needs attention. No longer can we ignore what isn't working.
At a societal level, that may be excesses, inequalities, social disconnection, and inhumanitarian policies.
At a personal level, it may be a toxic relationship, a career out of sync with your true purpose on earth, or broken self-worth.
Only you can find the answer...as you contemplate your life from the safety and solitude of your cocoon.
We must start to think about what wants to come next.
Once the dust settles and we can be together again, how do we want to spend time together and value that time?
When we go back to work, where do we want to apply our efforts?
How will we economize to use our resources better, and how will we spend our money on what matters most?
Jupiter will conjunct Pluto two more times in 2020 (on June 30 and November 12) so we will have plenty of time to contemplate what we want to come next.
All you need to do is find moments to remain still and listen.
Pay attention to the signs and symbols that land on your path.
Notice the emotions that are stirring inside of you.
Hear the whisper of thoughts in your heart or head.
Soon enough, you will know what you need to do next.
You will see where you are being called to lead in your family, among your friends, in your community, at work, and in our world.
We need you and your unique gifts like never before. If you don't contribute them, who will?
None of us can do this next phase of evolution alone. We need each other.
I find it fascinating and symbolic that we are all being asked by the Centers for Disease Control to start wearing masks in public, not to protect ourselves but to protect others.
The only way I will be protected from coronavirus is if you do your part and wear a mask, and the only way that you will be protected from the virus is if I do my part and wear a mask. I need you, and you need me.
None of us can do this alone!
Welcome to the Aquarian Age!
We must each do our unique part to contribute to the collective.
Once a vaccine for coronavirus is found, these will be very exciting times. No longer do you have to hide your unique talents in the closet; the world needs your diverse gifts to help us innovate, transform, and uplevel.
We already see companies like GM turning into a manufacturer of ventilators and 3D printing companies and fashion designers making masks. They are applying their talents in new ways to give back to humanity.
It's your turn! How do you want to give back, leveraging your strengths, passions, and gifts?
